Today, I was driving at night and saw a small animal run across the road. I slammed on my brakes and got rear-ended. The animal turned out to be a plastic grocery bag. FML

If you come across an animal blocking your path on the road, then just run it over, that is what they tell you to do on your driving test. Unless it's a horse >.<

If you mistaken a bag for an animal, then you cannot have the attentiveness be a safe driver. No sympathy, and gtfo the road.

the person behind you didnt take enough distance, his fault.

I hope this never happens to me but for some reason I find it a bit funny xD

That really sucks. It's definitely the guy's fault. It doesn't matter if this happened on the highway or on the road, if you hit someone (not when THEY hit you, or you hit someone because someone else hit you), you're at fault.

I AGREE WITH NUMBAH 3. hehehe seriously humans are killing the planet and the cute little squirrelies are just gettin hurt by cars. poooooor little squirrellies.

Personally I prefer 12 gauge 7 1/2 shot instead of cars. Fun little bastards to hunt, good when deep fried too.

Everyone who's saying that animals have feelings and you shouldn't kill them...I really hope you guys are vegetarians, because if you're not please shut up your hypocrisy. I'm sorry, but I can't stand it when people are against dissection or stuff like this where animals die, but then they go eat meat.

At least you were going to stop to not hit an animal, even if it was a bag. Obviously the guy behind you was following too close otherwise he should have been able to stop.

Sorry, but it pains me to see roadkill too...But one of the most important things is to NEVER slam on the brakes for an animal. You deserved this one, sorry. Shit driving has consequences. You do NOT swerve either. Where I live recently someone did that, swerved off the road and killed herself, her friend, and only one person survived. It's not worth it...
