Who drives with the windows open at night?
A lot of people who like the way the wind feels in their face at midnight. I happen to be one of those people.
People not trying to fall asleep on the road.
OMG !!!! is the owl okay? :(
Owls are amazingly resilient, and I'm sure it wasn't fatally injured. As long as there aren't any broken bones or internal injuries, birds in general bounce back pretty quickly.
One time, I rode in the passenger seat of a convertible and a pigeon flew into my mouth. Scarred for life.
I'm worried about the GIANT-ness of this barn owl OP described D: being smacked in the head by an owl is one thing, but a GIANT owl D:?!! *runs* be afraid, be very afraid W(OvO)W !! Haha :)
What part of "dark country road" made you want to leave your window open? Those three words sound like they would be part of a sentence that would include the words "serial killer" or "alien abduction."
I lived on a dark country, and I had to run on it when I ran XC
What do you mean? I LOVE hanging out on dark country roads. It's the best place to find victims-- cough* *wheeze*--I mean, volunteers.
I hate driving down them kind of roads, they're scary! And they always remind me of horror films..
I hate when this happens!

Owls have better eyesight than humans when it's dark. Maybe it was saving you from something out there :)
