Today, I was excited about showing off my new haircut. All my friends thought it looked really good and it made me look older. What did my boyfriend think? He said I look like a little girl and he was afraid to kiss me in public because he didn't want someone to think he was a pedophile. FML

Today, I got a new haircut. I was feeling pretty confident, until coworkers and family members kept making comments like, "I think you gained a little weight", "You look older" and "Do you still like guys?" Apparently, my new haircut changed my waist size and my sexual orientation. FML

Today, I got my hair cut short, as it hasn’t been cut in well over a year and I was getting sick of dealing with it. I told the hairdresser I would probably look like a boy but she said it would look cute, and that she’d make sure it looks feminine. I loved how it came out, until the kid at CVS asked, “Can I help you sir?” FML

In his defense, I look old for my age, and my (now wife) looks very young for hers...and when we were both 18, I got some very dirty looks walking around hand-in-hand with her. Nobody actually said anything to us except once or twice, though. She's actually older than I am. So I can understand his caution.

okay, so i happen to know that a lot of guys prefer long hair to short. my ex flipped at me after i got my chest length hair cut to chin length. a lot of people told me they preferred my hair long. i'd tell your boyfriend just to get used to it. nobody else's opinions should matter except your own. i got my hair cut short cuz it was too much maintenance long -- it's thick and wavy, and not a good kind of wavy. it requires straightening of some kind to look normal. i like short cuz it's easier to straighten. it's shoulder length now and i like that better than chin length anyways. back to my point, i'm sick of guys liking long hair better than short. long hair is a pain in the a**, to put it bluntly. girls do way too much for guys' sakes, appearance wise. so, if you like your hair, keep it the way it is and tell him to get the f*** over it. (and i know there are comments that will say "i bet you're ugly" -- well, don't judge a person's looks by a comment that doesn't include a picture.)
