You'd be surprised at the stupid shit parents do to lifeguards. Some angry mother got pissed at me once because I dared to make her 7-year-old son take a swim test, which he passed, and then left like two minutes later. Another time the same woman complained because we wouldn't let her 7-year-old sons play in the baby pool. My boss was awesome, though, and called her a bitch right along with me (after she left).

Hey, he could have been staring at the kids in an odd way... and maybe the kids were playing in the arcade and not even in the pool. But regardless of what this individual was doing, lifeguards can be pervs too... The mom has every right to say something if she is made to feel uncomfortable, but if the boss had no reason to suspect any wrongdoing, I sincerely doubt someone would get fired

Im a lifeguard- and i get this all the time. Or 'dont yell at my children!' If you kid is running on the deck, im supposed to yell and tell them not to. Stupid people.

been there...i've had all kinds of crap done to me at the pool i've been at for over 6 years...nothing bothers me anymore...to be honest they can complain but i love how the customer ISN'T always right in these kinds of situations...cuz safety first bitches!!! i love it when parents get mad and it doesnt work in their favor cuz most of the stuff they complain about we're basically just like Tough Sh*t
