Today, I was giving an anti-drugs speech to a group of ninth graders. I got onto the topic of trafficking from problem countries and asked a student to point out Mexico City on a map. He hesitated a few seconds before pointing at Canada. What the hell has the education system come to? FML

ThThis sad, but true. Children in public Schools are promoted regardless of their level of knowledge. When I was in public school (55 years ago), students were " held back if they couldn't pass the testing tong to the next grade. These days if you try to do that you might be called a racist or might be discriminating on the basis of something. Teachers are not allowed to discipline students because you might damage their self esteem or some crap. We might even get paddled with wooden boards if we disobeyed a teacher.

49- most Canadians cannot speak French although the French that is spoken here is different in many ways than the actual; Hence why we call it French-Canadian and not just French.
