Today, I was in line at the store behind a lady and her young daughter. Trying to be polite I smiled at the little girl. She burst into tears asking her mommy 'what is wrong with that ladies teeth'. Apparently braces on a 25 year old is not 'kid friendly'. FML

You should have started laughing maniacally saying "I'M GOING TO EAT YOU UP, LITTLE GIRL".

She probably thought you were gonna eat her or something

LOL at you and your Edward Scissorhand mouth!

Could be worse the child could screamed ugly monster.

That child acted like a little kid. Good for you for taking care of your teeth.

Haha my dad did that once and when he did he took out his denchers and the kid freaked out it was ******* hilarious

*Lady's, not ladies. And get over it, kids say what they want without realizing that it may hurt someone's feelings. Just think about the compliments you'll receive once you get your braces off. :]

ugh. i hate this. half the people who make comments like this don't even know what it's like to be called hideous or unapproachable (even by a kid)...not to mention, it's probably something the OP is self-conscious about. i'm sorry, but it is FML-worthy.

your cute, I'm sure kids don't talk about your teeth. therefore, not good for advice giving in this situation

The only thing sadder than an adult with braces is an adult so desperate for attention they harrass children in public.

or the parents could teach their kids not to stare so people don't have to do things to make them look away or entertain them if they actually like children...but I have a feeling you're being contentious with that comment.

My dad had to have braces as an adult. He had some serious overbite. They actually had to surgically break his jaw and move it. I plan on getting braces to. Im still young though. OP FYL

Ironically, most kids will attest that braces themself are not "kid friendly".

fyl...but at the same time, what happened to invisaliqn ??

Invisalign costs MONEY, you do know that, right?

It's a good thing you didn't show her your tongue piercing. :)
