Today, I was installing updates on my 16 year old daughter's laptop, when I got the urge to snoop around. I found a 5,000 word sex story involving her and the Edward and Jacob weirdos from the Twilight movies. I can't even look her in the eyes. I can't believe I raised this freak. FML

Your daughter is fantasizing about sex with two good-looking guys, and you call her a freak? After snooping in her personal stuff to boot? You disgust me.

Just cause she has fantasies doesn't make her a freak...your the freak for reading a story your daughter wrote about her self and two others.

A) she's just gotten into puberty, of course her hormones are in overdrive, and, B) WHY the hell are you going through her shit?!? Is there no sense of privacy in your home? If she finds out, she might never trust you the same ever again. C) get over yourself. I'm SURE you did similar shit when you were her age, just with a different creative outlet or object of affection.

"When I got the urge to snoop around" INSTANT YDI!

It's not very nice to call her a freak, it's pretty common for teens to write fanfiction to help let out their sexual frustrations. Just be happy she's writing away the sexual urges rather than getting a boyfriend to do it for her.

At least she knows how to write an essay

that's what you get for looking through something a person writes their private thoughts on, she's 16, people are going through a lot of mood swings and hormones at that time. maybe you should be supportive and respectful, instead of judging when you read something you were never meant to see.

do... do you not know what fanfiction is?

This is what happens when you snoop. ydi

That's a perfectly normal stage of sexual development for that age. She's learning about her own thoughts on sex, her own fantasies, and getting an idea of how sex works in theory. Just don't mention it--she's doing fine, and she'll sort it out on her own like we all did when we were her age.
