Today, I was leading a tour of my university and saw a girl in ripped jeans and combat boots smoking a cigarette. I told her that she shouldn't be representing the school in such a manner. She shot back: "I'm a Presidential Scholar. Suck my dick, bitch." FML

Nothing wrong with combat boots and ripped jeans. True she was rude but that's what you get for discriminating against what other people want to wear, says nothing about what she is like as a person. There was no need to make any comment to her.

Am I the only one kind of on OP's side? That girl was pretty rude, and maybe it's just my school, but people aren't allowed to smoke on campus. Though I do agree her comment about what she was wearing was excessive.

I think with a lot of these things, it's just easier to put up a spiked wall and block people out. So that's what the girl was doing. She really didn't want to be bothered. I don't do it, but after being asked annoying questions constantly about trivial things I can relate. It's just easier to say screw you than engage in a debate over trivial stuff with random strangers who have no business talking about it.

Actual moral of the story: get rid of the ******* stigma that people who smoke or wear something like what the girl was wearing represents "trash" because this is the perfect example proving that wrong.
