Today, I was leading a tour of my university and saw a girl in ripped jeans and combat boots smoking a cigarette. I told her that she shouldn't be representing the school in such a manner. She shot back: "I'm a Presidential Scholar. Suck my dick, bitch." FML

Kinda reminds me of the idea my freshmen year roommate and I came up with. We would find out when tours were occurring and sit on a bench that was on their route. We would then pass a brown paper bag back and forth and pretend like we were drinking out of it. Oh stupid freshmen ideas. I sometimes miss it.

Maybe things are different in my country, but I don't see why she shouldn't wear what she wants and if she's at uni she's old enough to smoke. I feel for op in that it must have been embarrassing to be talked back at, but I'm afraid I have to go YDI for being so judgemental.

no sympathy for ya, YDI for being a judgmental person. just because someone doesn't dress or think like you doesn't mean theyre subhuman, or that you're better. in fact, I think being so immediately judgmental is worse than what she was doing, school grounds or not.

I agree with the fact that OP was being judgmental and they totally deserve it, but this isn't about gender. Guessing from OP's hero complex, they would've have said the same thing if it was a guy. Don't make this a sexist issue because it's not.
