That's horrible of you to say, even if it want her dad.
Wasn't*
this reminds me of a story my grandpa told me. he was working for the phone company and his boss a second line came along to evaluate his performance. the second line is a higher up boss who happened to have graduated from the us military academy at west point. so, they went to fix this woman's phone and she was being a raging bitch to them, screaming, cursing and generally talking down to them. the second line asks her to please stop so they can do their jobs in peace. she goes into a rage and says something along the lines of "you can't talk to me like that, i have an education blahblahblah" so the second line says, lady, chances are i have a better education than you, i graduated from west point. she shut her mouth and lulz were shared until this day.
That is an awesome story and I love how you ended it. lulz
What's funny is that the head janitor at the company I work for starts out making $22 per hour minimum... so you can make some damn good money just "being a janitor". Ass. YDI.
You totally deserve it. You have no right to judge him for his way of making a living. I know many manual laborers and low level employees who make a more honest living than some teachers and other jobs with higher education requirements. Hope you felt like a douche.
You shouldn't have done this even if you had a pupil whose dad it was. What does that teach kids? You are a teacher, you make a big impact on their lives.
If you're giving your kids the "stay in school" speech, I'd update it a little bit. Create a Recession Version, so to speak. Here are a few tips! 1.) Don't judge. For all you know, this janitor could have a high school diploma, or even a college diploma. He could have been a teacher in another state or district who was laid off. 2.) DO NOT promise your kids that if they graduate and go to college, they'll never have to do menial work. That's just delusional. The great Christiane Amapour recently spoke at my brother's college graduation and, though I can't directly quote her, she told the recent graduates that they'd have to hustle to pay rent and loans. Take crappy minimum-wage jobs, possibly two crappy jobs. Get creative with ways to make money. In this ecomony, chances are your dream job isn't going to come along right away.
Hey you deserved it my moms boyfriend is a janitor

Ydi. A lot of people end up with jobs like that because they can't get anything better and at least they have a job.
Serves you right, OP. Why would you even say that? At least he ha s a job, you're not better than him or anyone else who does "dirty work".
