Today, I was on a dinner date with a guy I really like. I guess I was on my phone too much because halfway through the date he sent me a text saying how much my half of the bill would be. FML

Today, I went on a date with this guy and he was on his phone the whole night. When I got home I checked his Facebook since he barely paid attention to me. His status was, "So-and-so is taking out the trash" from mobile posted an hour ago. I got home from my date 30 mins ago. FML

Today, I was on a date with a guy I've been crushing on. In the middle of the dinner, he said he had to go get something from his car. When I asked what it was, he smiled and said it was a surprise. I waited for my surprise for half an hour. Then I decided to pay the bill and go home and cry. FML

Today, I went on a date with a guy who seemed to be quite the gentleman. I was proven wrong when he told me to "shut it" during dinner, stiffed me on the bill, and then left me at the restaurant so he could get his own taxi home. FML

Today, I went on a date that went well, until the bill came and she quickly shoved it in my direction, then went to the loo. Rude, but I thought nothing of it… until our waiter took pity and told me I’m the fourth guy she’s had this week who'd been made to pay for her. I paid half, then went home. FML

Perhaps, but not everyone feels this way. And honestly, if she was paying more attention to her phone than her date, why should he have to pay? If a woman expects a man to pay for her meal, she at least owes him her attention during the meal.

Sure, chivalrous rule says the men always offer once to pay for dinner. But feminists drove the idea that if a man pays for dinner, he expects sex into many women's heads. Men get caught in a catch-22: Pay for her dinner and risk her thinking you want sex, or don't pay for it and she gets miffed. I approach it like this: I wait for her to say something, and if she offers, I let her pay her part. If she doesn't, I pay, but I also leave it on her as to asking about a 2nd date. Amazing how well that works :)

You are lucky he handled it the way he did instead of just walking off and ignoring you like you were doing to him. You obviously did not like him if you did he would have been more interesting that whatever was going on your phone. You deserved this so not FML more like YDI. At least he knows on the first date not to waste his time with a dumb B like you. Geeze if you liked him I would hate to see how you act when you love someone.
