Today, I went on a date that went well, until the bill came and she quickly shoved it in my direction, then went to the loo. Rude, but I thought nothing of it… until our waiter took pity and told me I’m the fourth guy she’s had this week who'd been made to pay for her. I paid half, then went home. FML

I don't blame him, that was beyond rude to do to someone who is taking you out on a date.I don't understand some people and their obsession with technology. Even I know that when you're on a date, you should wait to use your phone.

He should be posting the FML, not you. You obviously can't like him that much or you would have paid attention to him instead of your phone. Even if it turned out that he was really boring, it is SO incredibly rude to spend the date on your phone and ignore the poor guy! I think it's rude to be on your phone when you're spending time with anyone, anyway, because why the hell would you bother to meet up with someone just to ignore them? But it's even worse when you're on a DATE with someone! YDI 1000%!!!

I do this a lot but my friends know it's because I have trouble with eye contact and need to focus on something else, however they're my friends, you really should not have acted the way you did and if you have a problem like mine, you could have straight up told your date. But your wording makes it clear you were being an unintentional douche and you should apologise and never repeat your actions again.
