You wrote this while on the date didn't you? YDI very rude
Nothing ruder than being on your phone
evene checking ur phone to "look" at the time is rude ydi
I this what society's coming to? Look around. Do you see anyone else on their phone during a dinner out? NO!
only this generation...
Seems like every restaurant I go to most couples are making small talk and just messing with their phones.
I make it a rule that when I am out on a date, the cell phone stays in the car. Sure, emergencies can happen, but if there were risk of a highly immediate need, I wouldn't be on the date to begin with.
That depends on why you were on the phone at all. If you were waiting for something important (like someone either dying or having a baby), it would make sense to explain that to your date. The other day, my boyfriend got mad at ME because a guy we both know kept blowing up my phone with texts. Since I was waiting on a call from my sister, I couldn't just shut the thing off. I finaly texted Dude saying, "I am trying to spend time with my boyfriend and you're interfering." Then, I blocked his number. Um ... My piont is that unless there was a reasonable explanation for needing to respond on the phone YDI.

That's incredibly rude of you. You "guess"?! I'd would say that you were. Be a little more polite next time and stash your phone away; the newest twitter updates can wait.
You really like him, huh? You really showed it. YDI
