Today, I was on a plane returning to University, and I decided to shut my eyes. I opened them about 45 minutes later just as the plane landed to find I couldn't move at all. I was in sleep paralysis. The air hostesses had to lift me out of my seat. FML

I have that all the time, just wait until the monsters start to come while in sleep.

I can't even begin to imagine how awkward that would be.

Sounds more like the flight attendant fml. But that's got to suck OP, get it checked out.

Hahaha, that must have been awful! X) But you'll probably laugh at it later. And now you have a funny story to tell!

I would really like to hear DocBastard's professional opinion on this matter.

I've had sleep paralysis before.. Scary... Feels like you're dead and barely breathing... D:

Yes. Like you can't get enough air, because your body won't do anything. I think though the lack of breathing is because it's so frightening.

Exactly... It happened to me a couple days in a row... :/

Well shit. Until just now I didn't think this was possible without some sort of drugs like roofies. D:

I have stuff like this going on ALOT of the time and I get DeJa Vu ALL the time!!!!!!!

I have been a nurse for 20 years and this is the first I have ever heard of this, I googled it and OMG that is soo scary!!! Bless your heart:(

Fun fact: alien abduction stories come from people going through sleep paralysis and not realizing (or researching) that it's a sleep disorder and not a supernatural occurrence.

I'd be happy if a flight attendant touched me like that

It's NOT medical problem. If it hasn't happened to you, don't even begin to try to understand it or even "diagnose" it. It's very real, very scary & actually very common. I've had my deal of these and they actually get worse with time...

This was scary. I wouldn't be able to move & the only way i could wake up was by breathing hard; not sure if that was due to panic or by force though.
