Today, I was once again passed over for a promotion. I'm now the assistant to a kid who has failed to meet almost every single responsibility he's been given before. It's my job to make sure he's successful, and if he isn't, I'll lose my job. FML

Talk to your boss about it. You could get a solution.

Start looking for a new job. You are about to get fired.

prove your work ethic, and bring your boss your credentials. show them that you're more qualified for the position.

Time to find a new job! Whoever you work for will be a failure without you, and they will eventually fire that idiot kid too. Good luck.

Stop saying these stupid comments, we ******* know that it sucks.

That's why it's an FML. -_-

I didn't comment for you, it's not your story why are you so bent out of shape about it?

because it's an FML, therefore we know it sucks.

Yeah, not always. Sometimes FMLs are more funny than they are sucky. And if you're spending so much time on here reading so many comments that they start to make you angry, I'd say FYL because it seems like you really don't have anything else going on.

You ever heard of free speech (whether in America or not)? They should be able to say what they want without persecution.

Try your best. If he isn't sucessful, than you're screwed.

It always seems to happen that way. With an economy as ****** as today's, you have to be willing to step on toes to get what's your's.

that plus the fact that HR people are either clueless or never get a chance to be fair and hire who they feel is best. the manager/owner/boss can over-ride anything. I hate it when that happens.

Maybe you're ******* too many wenches, OP. People don't like that in the workplace, you know.
