People keep saying how it's 'the thought that counts" and it's "so romantic". I don't think there was any thought put into this at all. It's seems like he is incredibly impulsive, saw a ring store and was like "you know what? I think I'm going to propose today!" It also doesn't sound very romantic. I'm just sorry that it backfired and the payment plan got rejected. Why don't you just get a really cheap ring and put the money towards something more important?

His heart was in the right place but that must have been embarrassing! He maybe thought you wouldn't say yes if he didn't have a nice ring, so why not look at a pawn shop and look at rings there? It won't break the bank and you'll find some beautiful rings!
