Today, I was passing notes in class with my crush. I started to pour my heart out and tell him about how I've liked him for years. I was caught by the teacher. He looked at it, laughed, and tore it up. He then looked at me and said, "I just saved you from years of embarrassment. You're welcome." FML

Think of it in a good way; maybe he did. Studies show that the average "crush" lasts for 4-6 month.

Well.. at least he didn't read it out loud in front of the class. That would've been way more embarrassing.

I'd say this is good guy teacher. He probably did. NEVER "pour your heart out" in class on paper. If you feel that strongly then tell him face to face in private

Probably. I checked with friends, but girls lie about this. If I had this teacher, I could have avoided a lot of heartbreak

He was probably right...I texted my crush my real feelings and was summarily rejected

Cockblocked by a teacher xD but on a serious note maybe it was a good thing maybe it wasn't. you'll never know if you don't tell him.

Everything happens for a reason ? Teehee ?... ?

I'm surprised kids still pass notes rather than just text each other. But in all seriousness, your teacher is probably right. Be thankful he didn't read it to the class (or make you do so).

Plot Twist- OP is just a silly 12 year that thought they were in "love".. Teachers saves kid from embarrassment

Perhaps the teacher can read your crush's body language well enough to know that it wouldn't work, or that your crush is actually the type to pick on you for that sort of thing. Being at the age of crushes, you're not going to agree with or understand my message for a few more years.

I'm sorry but get off your high horse. "You won't understand my message". Oh ******* please. Only if she had come to the teacher should they have given their opinion because kids' social lives aren't a teacher's business. The teacher was being an asshole and shouldn't feel good for it. Sure maybe the crush doesn't like her back, but that doesn't give the teacher the right to be just plain rude. Let the kid figure it out for herself at least. Sheesh people just need to stop interjecting themselves in other peoples issues

My statement was factual, and you're not going to agree with or understand that for a few more years.

Better than him reading it in front of the class I would be thankful as well

You had it better than me my teacher read mine out in class... I'd rather have had your situation
