You're actually not supposed to comfort dogs when they're freaking out. They see you as their leader and interpret your comfort as weakness, making them more nervous. I imagine that's what happened in #15's situation. But puppies are cute and it's hard not to. Definitely FYL.
I'm still confused as to whether the puppy shat his pants because he was AFRAID of the lightning... or because a lightning bolt came down and zapped the puppy, making him roast dog, and making shit fly everywhere. If it's the first one, sucks for you. Second one, sucks for the dog even more than you. ======== and if it was the 2nd one, then hes LUCKY the dog was on his lap, or the lightning would have gravitated towards the next closest/highest target- aka HIM!
Ahh, sick. That's sucks rilly bad >.<
EEEEWWWWW!!!
#13 & #41 are right, you shouldn't try to comfort the dog when it's acting scared of the storm. that reinforces the scared behavior. act confident and unbothered by the storm, and indifferent to the dog's scared behavior. worked for my lab. but that definitely sucks
LOL! That's disgustingly hilarious! But it's sweet that you took care of the puppy.
Awwww that's so gross but a scared puppy is a cute image. Good for you for actually taking care of it
