Today, I was rejected from the University of Washington. My dad has been a professor there for 30 years, and is on the board of admissions. FML

That must be equally embarrassing for him.

Obviously you assumed you could just get in because your daddy works there and probably didn't try to do well in high school. Your loss.

wtf does that have to do with anything??? cuz daddy got connections you think u have more of a right to be there than anyone else? I'm GLAD u got rejected, arrogant b****.

ydi... for thinking that you'd get a free ticket there just because of your dad's connection. At least, your dad's a fair man.

did you ever find out why he rejected you ? i agree with number 177; just because your dad is head of admissions, doesn't necessarily mean your automatically accepted into the school. oh well.

lol thats funny. dont worry, the huskies are a bunch of hippies anyways

YDI for thinking that your going to get special treatment cause ur daddy works there, just because your dad works there doesnt mean your going to get in, you need to earn it like everyone else there you little bitch

to the op: you live in Tacoma? Me too :3 yeah fyl

For all of you UW haters (especially you Ducks and Cougs): http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/national-top-public UW ranks #11 in public universities. WSU ranks #52. Oregon Ranks #57. UW is a terrible school right?

Also with regards to the actual FML, public schools do not look at legacy relations and having a parent on the admissions board will not help you. UW is much harder to get into than it has been in the past, and unfortunately the OP is seeing this firsthand.

boohoo you didn't get in cause you thought it was free cuz of your dad. get over it that's life. You didn't deserve it, but it's not an FML. so I'll just say screw you.

thats not supposed to happen its supposed to be that you should get in no matter what if a parent works at a college you get accepted. (and maybe shes going there cuz she wants too!!!) but thats okay ive never even heard of that place..and ive looked up alot of colleges xD

you're kinda stupid. its the state university. pretty much the best college in the state of washington, which the OP is from, so she WOULD obviously want to get in to the school.
