Today, I was roused from my peaceful slumber by the sound of evil laughter coming from my closet. It was my old Furby, with dead batteries, that I could have sworn I got rid of several years ago. FML

Furbys have a capacitor that holds too much charge and so emit sounds and function even though the batteries are dead.

I had a friend who had his dog maul a Furby. It's skin was torn off, it's mechanized face was revealed and voice box distorted. It's eyes and beak clicked because there was no fabric to inhibit it's vicious movements. It was horrifying.
