Today, I was roused from my peaceful slumber by the sound of evil laughter coming from my closet. It was my old Furby, with dead batteries, that I could have sworn I got rid of several years ago. FML

Yes. I have since tried to destroy the demonic thing, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it comes back to life.

They are demonic beings that look like gremlins. Even if you don't turn them on, they will come to "life" on their own. You are supposed do different things to take care of them or else they will die. The best way I can think to describe it is like a doll version of Tamagotchis. Clearly them dying is an evil lie.

Unfortunately my FML was edited in a way that made things more confusing than what I submitted to begin with, so I want to clear that up. It was the Furby that I swore I threw away, not the batteries. It was definitely creepy to find it in my closet. It was even creepier that it still worked considering the batteries have been dead for several years. I hadn't seen that demonic thing in about 10 years.

Today, I was finally able to get around to a totally free day when I could do some much needed DIY around the house. Before I even started, I cut my hand on a Stanley knife almost to the bone, and had to get 8 stitches. My wife thinks I did it on purpose to get out of doing the repairs. FML

Today, I made a heart-shaped pancake for my girlfriend as a surprise Valentine's Day breakfast. I flipped it too hard, and it landed on my cat. The cat then ran around the house with a pancake cape, and the surprise was ruined by the cat bolting into the bedroom, waking my girlfriend up, who's not a morning person at the best of times. FML

Today, I asked my parents if I could have their old Polaroid camera so I could take artsy pictures, but they got all defensive, because, "Polaroid pictures can’t be traced."
