Wow thats sad but if it was sick or already dieing then thiers some justification. Maybe he was trying to stop the suffering of the animal. Sometimes people have a big attachment to thier animal and don't want to put it down even though they now they should. Hope you feel better and your dad says hes sorry. : )

To every body who's saying your dog has to be sick/old to be put down, that's not the case. If some one makes a complaint about the dogs behaviour (maybe the dad in this case) the governement will ask the family to have the dog put down. It's what happened to my dog. This is sooo sad. I feel realy bad for you, losing your dog ;_; I can't beleive he lied to you! You deserve some revenge. You also deserve your dog back but unfourntunately that can never be done...

Your dad is a f*cking bitch. FYL and F*ck him. Good Idea 1. You so should hide it and find a dog just like yours. Like looks. Mabe a neighbors dog or something, that looks like yours. Bring it home and run to your dad screaming "He's home! (insert dog name here) Is back!! Its a miracle!!!" just to see his reaction. Milk that up for a few minutes and then whip out the bill once he is freaking out. "Your a bitch" would be the best thing to say but you don't wanna get in trouble there :P

Oh my gosh, that's terrible... Did he say that to you just so that he could put the dog down without you objecting to it, or was he just trying to spare your feelings of knowing that your dog actually died? Vets will put a dog down in the owner wants them to. They could walk in and say "The puppy peed on the carpet, put 'er down!" and the vet will probably do it. It's not their place to argue with the owners about their pets. Shitty though.

Was your dog terminally ill? Even if he was, he should have just told you the truth, I'm assuming you're not 8. I'm really sorry, I can't think of any other acceptable reason why a family member would do that to another, that's really ****** up.

Sucks that you're dog is dead, but your dad may have had an actual reason for it.
