Okay, so this is my FML. The girl is 15, and we have classes together in school. I didn't really mind that she said it, but it was funny. That's why I decided to share it on here, and it actually got posted! Anyway, back to the story. We were talking in class about something and I made a joke and she started giggling and then, she said, "LOL!" Like, "el-oh-el". Also, I should mention that I wasn't flirting with her or anything. I'm not pursuing a relationship with her, but if I was, I wouldn't completely freak out and change my mind because she said lol. That'd make me a judgmental prick. That'd be pretty screwed up of me. Lastly, I'd like to say that I am friends with her, and just because she said lol, that doesn't mean I think she's stupid or anything.

LOL.
I've said LOL out loud before because I'm so used to typing it. It just happens. I always realize my mistake. Don't judge people for things like that, or you're the one with the problem.
People seem to forget that English is a constantly evolving language. Even the standard "goodbye" came from a medieval priest who ended a letter by abbreviating "god be with ye" to "god b w ye" which was read as "godbwye" And later, "goodbye". Point is, using abbreviations verbally isn't a new thing, and really don't think this was so severe as to warrant an FML. Maybe verbal expressions of a mildly humorous reaction to something will be more common in the future?
This is not that bad. I'm pretty sure the entire staff at buzzfeed do the exact same thing. Some people can make Internet talk cringe worthy, and I hate them for that... BUT come on, even I say LOL from time to time IRL.
Raugh out roud?
I really don't see the problem
I can't imagine anything else in the world ever being worse than this.
Some of my friends do that too, I just got used to it..
