You were critisized. Learn from it. Make your art better than before, and don't stop trying.

What can I say. There are good and bad critics. You've just experienced one of the latter. But just because one critic does not prefer your style doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it. I guess as an artist who gets to showcase your work you are bound to hear this sort of thing sooner or later. We all appreciate different things and some are very specific in their tastes and like to voice their opinions loudly. Apparently some people do appreciate your art. Having some people really not like it just means that it's good art. Good art will, and I think should, divide opinions. Some people will praise you. Some will tell you that you suck. And some will give constructive remarks. Listen to them all, but don't listen too much. That's the way your art will evolve. Good luck in the future!

Sorry op :( That's what critics do and I'm sure your art is amazing. You can't take his comments personally though. He's just one guy.

Finally, an art critic that will actually say "Sorry, but this is shit, " rather than talk out of his arse, trying to dredge up reasons about why it's actually a masterpiece.
