Probably not rare. A Minnie Ball I would think as 99% on both sides used it. A nasty bullet by the way. Heavy, big and slow moving. When it hit an extremity it almost always caused an amputation due to the massive damage to flesh, the primitive medical conditions and the huge and quick flow of the wounded.
