Today, I was visiting my new in-laws for the first time. During an awkward silence, I took my phone and figured I'd send my friend a text jokingly saying "Mayday, mayday! Somebody save me!" My mood lightened up a little and I felt quite well until my mother-in-law's phone beeped. Yep. FML

Are you the same guy that "accidentally"sent a nude picture to his best friend? You really need to check the person you're sending the message to.

Am I the only one who double checks the name or the number of who I'm texting before I send it?

I know! Youre on a roll! Multiple nudes, pre-breakup texts, and now this? You should lay low

OP is the female equivalent of that guy :P better doubt check your texts!

Its called fake entertainment from norway look it up its a noble business.$

I bet the silence ended... It was probably replaced with lots of yelling though

I don't understand how she even has her mother-in-law's number when she was meeting her for the first time there.

You should choose your friends more wisely.

Hmm. I also wish to express my opinion that OP deserved it. You know what they should do? Make an area where we can click and vote whether or not they deserved it or their life sucks!

#3 - What's with your weird, ,, punctuation ?

When I read it I hoped you were male because then you could somehow pass it off as an intentional joke. Oh, those wacky husbands! But, sadly, I see you are a woman dealing with a new mother-in-law. I'm so sorry.

Alternatively she could attempt to pass it off as a thread of messages between her and her friend quoting a song or film... Doesn't really work but it could have been worth a try!

Your mother-in-law is your best friend?

That's when you say, "I'm having trouble getting service, can I borrow your phone?"

Have you never met your in laws before or have you just never visited them in their own home before?

That's what I was thinking - if she's never met his mother in law why does she have her number?

*her mother in law. Apparently I'm gender confused :(

Just play it off as a joke. They'll never know.
