Contrary to popular belief, one does not (indeed, cannot) live inside an iPhone. He could have income and still be homeless.

Sure he's homeless. Instead of begging people for a dollar, sell that iPhone. Get a prepaid cheaper phone with free minutes for poor people. That way he can still stay in touch with people and save money.

I hate when people don't need money are out begging for it. That money could go to legitimate homeless people. At the same time I hate when people can afford to live a decent life but spend their money on crap they don't need, and then wining about all they don't have. I don't know what the guys situation is, but there are usually indicators of non homeless people pretending to be homeless. Usually they aren't dirty, they don't smell, if they do have a phone it's usually not top end, and most non homeless people where new and expensive clothing. I'm not saying homeless people could be the benefit of a generous person, but I know people who beg for beer and stuff even thought they don't need it and most of the time can afford it.

Ok to clear things up, I was walking home and he asked for money. He looked, and even SMELLED like a homeless person. Sure enough, I gave him money and all of a sudden he got up and started walking and I saw him take out an iPhone 5 and call his friend. I heard him say, "Lol dude it worked!" Sorry I wrote so much ._. And no he was NOT really homeless

Only a dollar not like a large sum...many people do that believe it or not...

Hey, he was taking up a collection to get the new iPhone 5S next week. It 64-bit, man, SIXTY-FOUR BIT!!! You can't expect a man to stay 32-bit, can you? He may be homeless, but he's not a bum!

it might have been my iphone I gave him when I got my galaxy s4.

It's crazy that some people seriously do that for a living. And aren't actually truly in need.
