Today, I was walking my dog when I saw a man trying to get a screaming little girl into a van. I called 911 and ran over yelling at him. His wife then got out of the van and explained the girl was their daughter and they were just trying to make her go to school. FML

Hey guys OP here! I asked the little girl if that was her parents and she nodded but 911 told me they were still sending an officer to be 100% sure that everything was accurate. The parents completely understood and were totally fine because they were glad I cared and took action. :)

It was an honest mistake op. It's nice that you decided to take action instead of be a bystander! We need more people like you:)

Thank you for actually doing something to try to help rather than just take a video to post on YouTube later.

I give you props for trying to do the right thing. It was an honest mistake that could have saved someone's life. It's better to be safe than sorry. The world could use a few more people like you!

That happens...easy thought of a possible amber alert

but what if it wasn't? what if they were trying to trick you so you would leave them alone?

This is basically a daily thing I go through with my mom.

Wow, people are you are the reason I want nothing to do with young children anymore. Stranger danger is a myth. Not one in 10,000 kidnappings is by a stranger.

you obviously dont live in myrtle beach, sc... there are missing posted all over the place, not including the teens and adults... and even that is not including the tourists and people who live alone that no one knows about. it happens all the time. people come on vacation, they dissapear, and no one realizes it because they dont know them. if someone youve never seen, or saw once or twice goes missing then chances are you wont notice. it would be up to their family, wherever they may be, to report them missing. and then they wont know where exactly they were when they dissapeared. they find random human remains quite often when looking for another missing person.

This is real life and shitty things happen to people who don't deserve it. While it is true that around only 1% of children are kidnapped by strangers, it is better to be safe than sorry. OP did the right thing instead of standing by.

You went on instinct, OP! Good for you! One can never be too safe!

What if it really was a kidnapping and they fooled you in the end, either way glad there are people like you who stand up in front of fear.

You did the right thing. It's when people don't act that kids can get kidnapped. Good for you (:

Good action but I feel like that family could post an equally funny FML about this
