OhWhoCares tells us more.
I got an FML published!!! Lol wow and I submitted it when I was still pretty upset I didn't think it'd get published :P Okay anyway I ended up calling the police and they were able to find him, along with my books and apparently a ton of other stuff since he'd been robbing people all day and drugs. Hopefully this isn't an omen or anything about my upcoming semester...

oooh I'm so sorry buying textbooks is awful and feels like such a waste of money even the first time I can't imagine having to do it twice
Did he tell you to screw yourself and that's he's going home?
...and I'm taking these books with me!
You laugh in the face of danger. How bad ass.

Yay happy ending!! Good luck this semester!!!
In case by starting you mean for the first time, I want to make sure you realize that for the vast majority of classes, you don't actually need the textbook. And you never buy the book before first day because the teacher says whether or not to listen to the syllabus. Sometimes the teacher will say you don't Need it but you should get it and then the TA says no it's not worth it. Don't buy new unless you have to. Check the school library's reserves to see if they have a copy you can borrow (I'd just take pics out of the Stats book each week & hand it right back). Or see if a friend is in the class & share.
Good idea to be careful online as well. My little brother just lost 600 dollars because his bank account got hacked while Amazon book shopping. (banks explanation, not mine)
I'm glad you are okay and got your stuff back. Hopefully you don't attend USC or AVC.
Some more advice for you: buy your textbooks on Amazon. Amazon's price is usually around 150+, but go to the "other sellers new and used" I do this and get textbooks for usually 70-90 dollars NEW. The sellers that sell through Amazon are reliable and you can always send it back if it's not as described.
I dunno why anyone would down vote your comment, it's good advice.
I always bought my books used from the bookstore before my terms started, because it just gave me peace of mind that I had my books on time (many of my friends received them after term started because of mail messing up or whatnot). I only ever not needed my book once, and I was able to return it and get a full refund no problem. At the end of the term I was usually able to do a book buy back. For those that couldn't be bought back I either donated or sold to others. Hope you don't take this situation as an omen, and that you are successful in school!
for a bunch of classes i just bought an earlier addition of the newest version of the book, pretty much the same information but you can get them for like $8 rather than $160
Search addall for the cheapest book prices. They can often times find you cheaper than amazon prices.
That profile pic doe
You should've just offered him some cheesy poofs or pot pie.
#30 mmm that's a dream come true. If only this was an option on their menu.
"No kitty, it's my pot pie" "No kitty!" "No!" "mooom, kitty is being a *****" "Well, guess who's a special kitty kitty, and sleeping with mommy tonight"
What?
Was he wanting to steal your books, because everyone knows after you buy those suckers you have no money left.
