Matt Smith really grew on me, but I'm very excited for the new Doctor. I think he'll be wonderful. I'm not to sure what I think about the episode. It didn't make a lot of sense, and I wish they explained more. Several things I wonder are why the Church was working with the Silence. What was the point of the scene with them advancing on Clara all dramatically when they weren't even the villain of the episode? I'm assuming Trenzalor was inhabited by humans, given the whole Christmas theme. How did they get there, and why settle on some frozen crap planet? Why did Gallifrey give the Doctor time energy, but not come back through? What happened with all the Church members turned Dalek? Do the Daleks have Silence now? And why the heck did Amy have to be there? I was so happy when I thought I'd never have to see her again.
I think I'm the only one who was happy to see Matt Smith leave. I cried over David Tennants regeneration though. I'm excited to see what Capaldi's doctor brings us.
I was super happy when David left. I actually cheered.
You're not alone. My husband kept screaming, "Just die already!" throughout the entire episode. He loathed Matt. I cried a little, but I bawled when David left.
Doctor who is my favorite show and when he dropped his boy tie, I literally screamed and my flat owner came up the lift and screamed at me
No one can blame you, I don't know how many times I cried watching Doctor Who. That show is just filled with too many feels.
Seems that first Doctors are like first loves: hard to get over, and you measure the new by him. But with time you learn to appreciate the differences.
It is time for all of us Whovians to mend our broken hearts with fish fingers and custard.
Op I'm about to watch it but I think I am going to start crying when Matt Smith regenerates! I have a feeling though Peter Capaldi is going to be a wonderful doctor and I usually trust my feelings since I'm about 90% right then.
He first regenerate till the Christmas special
108 I found Nine somewhat cute. Not young boygroup style cute like Ten and Eleven, but cute in an older, more mature way. I would have loved to see more of him. Also, while I find that the episode was a bit crammed and all over the place, I don't think the regeneration was that bad. And I'm excited about Twelve. Maybe that will put an end to all those "will the foxy companion make out with the cute doctor"-tension storylines. It's starting to get old.
Nine is my favorite. I hate that so many people disliked him.
