Okay, I'm the author of this; I assumed it was her birthday because everyone was standing around chatting to each other... and why would she come into work when her father died? It defiantly wasn't the first thing that popped into my head. She didn't mind, and even told me that it was a FML moment.

I feel sorry for you. I wouldn't of said happy birthday but i wouldn't of thought someone died usually the person that died gets the flowers not the relative...Thats just weird I've never gave someone who had someone who die flowers i send my condolences yes but not flowers. What i know since I have had people in my family die, is that ppl send flowers to the family to puy on rhe grave...now if it was those kinds of flowers YDI but other then that no.
