I know pronouns can be confusing, but i swear over 75% of you people automatically assume she cheated on BF brother w/ Blind Date Brother (BD) this tells me that any time a Woman posts any FML under Intimacy-- people see her through '**** colored glasses' one single shred of 'benefit of the doubt' when reading this would imply that BF dumped her as soon as she put out , which OP has since clarified under the comments my advice to OP is to "suck it up and walk it off" BF was an A Hole... if she clicked with BD she should see where it goes... In the interest of full disclosure I suggest she inform BD about having dated his Brother (might not want to open with "we screwed, and he flew"), but it needs to be out there... How is there a 'yuck factor' its not like you shared them in a 3 way or had loud sex with him in the next room-- you dated one, he turned into a pumpkin--fate set you up with a chance with the better sibling (as BF was hump and dump-- clearly that bar is lowered, but still) In my experience the A hole gene is a random (although common) trait and is not inherently genetic and the only awkwardness likely to occur is if the relationship with BD works out and she eventually meets the X-BF again... or if he bad-mouthed "this chick i dated 6 months ago"... but if that were the case you'd think BD would have recognized here earlier...

The way OP worded it, is too vague. It can go either scenario. Where she was just used for sex by the ex and/or sucked in bed, or she cheated on the ex with his brother. Either scenario could be correct. Heck, even the way she worded the coffee part can be taken differently also, she used the blind date just to get coffee, possibly even free coffee from the guy, is one way that it can be taken and be correct. We both know what she meant about going for coffee on a blind date and the most likely scenario is that it was the ex that used her for sex and then dumping her. But because the way she said is so vague, you can't tell another person who interpreted where she's a **** that they're wrong.

Screw his brother. If you like the guy go for it. And the look on your exes face when he finds out, that's a damn good bonus.

my gosh there are a lot of stupid people on here! the story is that op slept with a guy who then dumped her, and has by complete coincidence ended up on a blind date with his brother 6 months later. she realised her date was her exes brother, because the stories he told her matched up with details from her exes life. anyone who doesn't understand that from the fml, is too stupid to be allowed on the Internet unsupervised.
