Today, I went on a first date with a guy I really hit it off with. Then he admitted that he was a recovering heroin addict and had to cut our date short to go to the methadone clinic. When I got home, I realized that my wallet was missing $40. I think he lied about the "recovering" part. FML

Ever thought that MAYBE you POSSIBLY left the $40 at the restaurant, leaving it to pay for the bill but ACCIDENTALLY paying too much without noticing? You shouldn't just jump to the conclusion that your date stole it just because they take/took drugs.

ewwwww well look at it this way, at least now you don't have to waste your time on a 2nd date

i was jus thinkin dat like wat if u totally dropped the 40$ but if not FYL 4 dating a drug adict

Ibogaine. Better than methadone. Not even addictive, but gets rid of all addictions. Unfortunately it's ILLEGAL in the US. Possibly because of the fact that it heals addicts. Gee, we wouldn't want that. Oh yeah, and the 24 hour review of your whole life in your head...

Maybe it is because it gives you hallucinations, makes it difficult for you to walk, and can cause brain damage. No, you're right, it is a world-wide conspiracy against losers.

yeah, dump him. dating drug addicts or ex-drug addicts sucks. They die faster, their skin will age quicker, they will lose their hair & they are most likely gonna be doing drugs again. and youre gonna be stuck with some guy who suddenly loves drugs more than you. im rambeling right now lmao.... im tired.. its kinda late-ish here... anyway..... dump the guy if find out that hes stealing more money from u.

Yes, dating someone with a drug history has challenges, but so does dating anyone. The fact that he might prioritize drugs before you is a legitimate concern and really stinks. However, if you really care about someone, the fact they have a shortened life expectancy is simply a sad fact of life, not a reason to avoid what might be a wonderful relationship. Besides, one can never really know how long one may or may not , regardless of drug history. Oh, and I say don't assume the guy took the money and give him another chance. (I believe in second chances, even if you know he took the money, but in that case, ask him about it and be careful!)

Ok, in agreeance with the re-taking of drugs part but if you dump them they're more likely to turn to them but if you go out with someone purely for their looks, skin age, hair, etc. then you don't deserve to date anyone.

New Hampshire sucks...the guys are addicts and the girls get pregnant in high school. get out of there!

Because that definitely never happens in other states, let alone other countries. =

because I definitely said New Hampshire is the ONLY place where those things happen... =/ when do the high schoolers start school again???

wow, what an assumption... i'm from nh, and no girl i knew got pregnant in high school.

New Hampshire rules its got the best skiing and that's an enormous assumption.

You left your bag/walleds with a recovering addict & complete stranger, long enough for them to steal from you?? Be thankful its only $40, it could have been worse considering most people carry credit cards, cameras, cell phones etc around with them most of the time!

Have you ever heard of pick-pocketing smart one? People can steal 40$ when the wallet is with or without you at any time.

You're a drug-addict by alliance. YDI
