Today, I went out to a nice restaurant for my friend's birthday. I went to the bathroom and heard the woman in the other stall crying. She couldn't pull her underwear up over her obese, old-lady ass because her arms don't reach that far anymore. I was the only one there. I had no choice. FML

I think you did the right thing and this being uncomfortable for you and you not exactly looking for obease half naked ladies to redress in restrooms accompanies the right for you to complain all you want. You did what you had to do in the situation, that doesnt mean you have to like it. Also, helping someone by doing something that you dont want to do means a hell of a lot more than helping someone by doing something that you wanted to do in the first place. good work you!

Get over yourself. Yes, it's an uncomfortable situation. But if you were just going to be a little bitch and insult her later, I'm guessing you didn't make her feel too comfortable in person either. Do you think she wasn't mortified to ask for help in the first place? Don't play the martyr and say you had to do it, if it was going to be so terribly traumatic you could have asked who she was with or asked a member of staff to help. Really, you just come across as a brat here. I can't understand the "Wow, you're so noble, karma 4 u!" comments.

I think that you should be thanking your lucky stars that you're not her. Your life is fine, stop whinging. That woman was obviously mortified, otherwise she wouldn't have been crying. If it was so terrible you could have asked her who she was with. People who are saying you are nice clearly haven't thought about what you said properly. You didn't do it out of good spirit, only because you "had to". Get over yourself.
