Today, I went out with my ex-boyfriend on a date. The night consisted of me sitting in the back seat of his friend's truck while they drove around to pick up things for the party they were going to have that same night. After they picked everything up, he asked where I wanted to get dropped off. FML

Today, I went on my very first date. We went out to eat dinner and everything went great! Afterwards, I went to drop him back off at his house. I backed out of his driveway and got stuck in a ditch. His dad had to come out and tow me out. So that's how I met my boyfriend's parents. FML

I can think of mainly one reason why the dude did this: revenge of some kind. OP, you didn't tell us the full story. I think something fishy must've gone on in your relationship for him to be so cold with you. That said, I think he just wanted to grind your gears, and maybe you deserved it for doing something to him in the past. But i'm not gonna vote either FYL or YDI (since I'm on my phone, I can't. Not on this type of phone.) yes, he sounds like an asshole, but hey, guys WILL try to get revenge. Guys with guts, anyways.

I think this is insightful. His behavior makes no sense. Why would someone go to a great deal of effort, picking you up, driving you around to different stores, then drop you off before going to a party? I don't know the whole story, but I do know that we haven't heard it all. Follow up OP, why did he do this?
