@ sambo110: you feel sorry for me that i swear? you must have had one hell of a sheltered upbringing. or you never went to school. either way, i should be feeling sorry for you, since you were peobably one of those goody-two shoes overachievers that was always mommys special child.
100% agreed, high five.
Oh, yes, you make a good point: "when it suits you." It's easy to bitch about privacy and all that, but what happens when you're suddenly left to your own devices, or are in great need of help? Most cry to the mommy and daddy who are shackling them so. You're not quite independent yet, kiddos. I know I'm not, and I'm a legal adult.
Do you honestly blame her if you're invading her privacy like this?
What privacy is there? IT'S INTERNET HISTORY. Oh no, daddy knows I have a MySpace, just like all of my friends do! Maybe if it was ****, sure, that's private, but no it's NOT like a diary. How is it anything like a diary just to know what sites you've been to, or what you've typed? Unless you actually HAVE online diaries, then expect this kind of shit to happen, because if he doesn't get it, someone else is going to. There is a saying that goes along the lines of "Don't write it if you don't want it read" (I can't remember the exact saying, but it was something like that)
Also, Startrekker didn't say anything about privacy ruining a kids' life. What (s)he said was that, since she is a CHILD, her father has the right to check up on her now and then. We don't know if this guy does it all the time... we don't even know why he was doing it, either.
None of my friends could see my internet history. :|
Please, fix , I can't even read this.
I seriously don't care it's 2am here. Figure it out I'm sure your smart enough
holy crap, we live in the same time zome O_O. Also, I'm not re-typing up your whole post in english just so I could respond with another big post
Yea so ?? I know it doesn't make sense but i don't care. It made sense while I was typing it out and I don't give a rats ass if people understand or not
It's a comment, it's meant to be read
No no, you misunderstood, I was connecting Internet history leading to something like MySpace, which anyone can see anyway (MySpace, not the history).
Ok, none of my friends have a ******* clue what sites I go on and I sure as hell don't have any accounts on myspace or facebook,
Wow, chill. No, it doesn't apply to everyone (I, too, have never had a MySpace or FaceBook, but I did have one IRL friend paling around with me on sites), but I'm saying that is usually what most 15-year-olds seem to do, especially if they're avoiding their parents like she is, apparently. Thus, nothing to hide there in the browsing history. If you grabbed up mine at fifteen, you'd just see a bunch of picture sites and message boards, then maybe LiveJournal... I forget. Nothing worth hiding that isn't already displayed to the world.
Heh, if you pulled up mine you'd probably find encyclopedia dramatica
Lol, oh well. I cruised ED while at school CB There's worse.
My dad died almost two years ago. He was one of my best friends as well as a great dad. I wish I could have another day to spend with him, I'd do almost anything to make it happen. Kids are selfish creatures, it's their nature...she'll grow up and hopefully still have you around to appreciate when she opens her eyes. To teens, stop being such libertarians when it suits you. Your parents are looking out for you. It's their job, let 'em do it. Adulthood isn't what it's cracked up to be. It's mostly struggling to get by and take care of yourself and those you care for. Maybe your parents look at your 'net history, but in the meantime, they're likely working full time or more to support your inconsiderate ass. You're a child. Get over yourself. You've got plenty of time for privacy and independence the rest of your life.
We don't need your life story. "Omg at least your dad has daughter-father days" The life of a father who spends 24/7 in an office isn't something new, especially in this day and age. I have the same type of father, only he also goes to Korea/Japan/China/Russia/etc. every two weeks. Stop bitching and moaning about it. You're not alone, at least your father is alive. How dare you complain about a father who's working so you can go to college and not have to worry about paying bills in this economy where people are getting laid off right and left.
I lost my father two months ago, and every time he would ask me to hang out, or go spend time with him i always said no. I regret it more then anything. Trust me, she loves you. Never doubt that. She's just a teenager. Hope this helps -vels
for all the people who say he deserved it for snooping, are all probably 15 years old. girls at that age tend to all agree with each other. you can all go have your periods. girls like you make me wanna ******* puke. you all think you are queens of the whole world, when u dont got shit. your only accomplishments in life are going to be getting promoted to manager at mcdonalds and getting 8 stds at once. congratulations you are all ignorant *****
LOL'd at that one. FYL for having a sneaky daughter, YDI for checking the history, not because she needs space, but because we 15 year olds need ****, and if you don't turn a blind eye it gets painful for everyone.
What are you, 10?
I'm not 15, but I know that when I was, I didn't want my mom to butt out of my life, I wanted her to pay attention to me. So quit saying that all 15-year-old girls want their parents out of their life. And also, just because someone is 15, doesn't mean they're a stupid ****. When I was 15, I only had ONE boyfriend, who I'm still with now, and I was looking at what college to go to in order to become an oncologist, because I only had another year of high school before I'd be going to it. And yeah, I wanted a lot of stuff at that age. I thought pretty highly of myself. But I most CERTAINLY did not think that I was the 'queen of the world' you dumb ****. And just because someone is the same age as someone else, doesn't mean they all agree about everything. Jesus H. Christ on a show pony, if that was true, everyone would be the same. Quit being an immature, sexist, ignorant asshole. Don't generalize because the only things you know about teenage girls is what you've seen in stupid movies like Mean Girls and Bring It On.

YDI for snooping. Give her some space -- she's growing up. ...On the other hand, though, FYL because of what you found.
More like FHL for having you snoop through her history. I bet you've got plenty of stuff you wouldn't want her to see.
