Today, I went to a fastfood restaurant to pick up food for my work party. I ordered 250 chicken fingers, 15 orders of fries, and 2 gallons of tea, and the guy behind the counter asked, "Is this for here or to go?" FML

This didn't even suck, its just funny.

That's what I was thinking. I did help desk and would ask our techs standard questions

Usually the worker needs to ask anyway.. I think

He probably didn't even think about what he was saying. Fast food employees repeat the same generic questions hundreds of times during a shift. It becomes second nature when taking an order.

I understand the implication that could be made there, but I'm pretty sure they're supposed to ask. Maybe you have a large party on the way.

Dude this is America. Oklahoma even. You should know that it isn't hard to imagine a fat ass family of 10 eating that right then and there.

I mean that's just company policy. What if you had a bunch of friends waiting at a table he couldn't see? He just wanted to make sure

He probably said it without thinking because he always has to say it.

He's just doing his job. Some people do food challenges at fast food places so maybe he thought you were doing a chicken finger challenge.
