Wow. Not all Americans are idiots. It's not the people's fault the recession happened, it's our leaders' faults. When I first read this FML, I knew what 35p meant, and I knew what this £ sign meant. The only thing I wasn't sure of was what Jaffa Cakes were, and what Lidl is. I have enough common sense to assume that Lidl is some kind of a knockoff store, and that Jaffa Cakes are a sweet. @OP, sucks your dog ate the wrapper. All that said, jaffa cakes dont taste as good as they did in the 60's and 70's when they were full of tangy 'e' numbers? maybe thats why kids nowadays are slightly overweight all those 'e' numbers made us hyper and kept us running around all day?

To 43, it's a little harsh to call someone ethnocentric because they don't know what Jaffas are. There are quite a few ethnocentric Americans out there, but being ethnocentric and idiotic are two vastly different things. I didn't know what Jaffas were until I read this post. But then again some people can't shop at ethnic food stores because there are none or any quality in thier area. I live in fairly rural Kentucky and there is only a Japanese food store; I went there and got food poisoning.
