Today, I went to my orthodontist where I was informed that I'll going to the prom, to my brother's wedding, and maybe to university with braces in my mouth. FML

Having braces doesnt suck.. its normal. But what is GOING to suck is actually wearing them. It HURTS like hell .. your lips get BROKEN inside the mouth. The pain lasts for a week. And then every time u meet orthodontist (every month) its going to hurt AGAIN .. for some days. .. I have braces :D

There's this new invention and it's called invisalign. Actually, it's not that new, it's been around for quite awhile but the price is reasonable, around the same as braces and all it is is a clear mold. You wear it and then you go in for check ups and you get a new one as your teeth start to straighten out.

What's so wrong with braces? They will fix your teeth later in life. Plus so many people have braces these days. It's not uncommon just think it you will have awesome teeth after it all.

Hey, I'm seventeen and I wear braces. I wore them while I was a bridesmaid at my sister's AND my brother's weddings. I'll be wearing them for my high school ball and my graduation. It's not that big a deal.

omg, shut up, just learn to smile without ur teeth showing, alot of people go through that, some have worse stuff then you. anyways its all worth it at the end, trust me .. ppl r guna b like OMG UR TEETH R SO NICE !

So the **** what? Quit your bitching OP. I had braces for 2 and a half years. I had braves for my 8th grade graduation, my 15th birthday (quinceañera), my confirmation at catholic church, AND I had braces when I was in marching band. Suck it up. I still wear my retainers and I'm not complaining. FML's are getting wimpier -_- End of rant...

sucks op but lots of people have braces , I did , I couldn't stand it . soo glad I got mine off. keep on thinking of how good you will look when you get them off. and you could always get the invisalign clear braces
