Today, I went to my orthodontist where I was informed that I'll going to the prom, to my brother's wedding, and maybe to university with braces in my mouth. FML

I had braces for years... many people do.... jeez, get over it princess.

Having braces doesnt suck.. its normal. But what is GOING to suck is actually wearing them. It HURTS like hell .. your lips get BROKEN inside the mouth. The pain lasts for a week. And then every time u meet orthodontist (every month) its going to hurt AGAIN .. for some days. .. I have braces :D

Oh, poor baby. They're just braces and they're not a big deal. Heck, most people won't even notice / care that you have them. At least you don't have to wear the headgear.

at least you won't go with jacked-up teeth. I had braces and it wasn't that bad; you just get your mouth cut up sometimes.

I didn't get braces until I was 17 and you know what? I was grateful to get them at all. I'd rather deal with senior prom and some college with braces on than go my entire life with horrible teeth. And believe me, my teeth were bad. I had a tooth growing in the middle of the roof of my mouth. Deal with it OP, worse things could happen.
