Today, I went to my orthodontist where I was informed that I'll going to the prom, to my brother's wedding, and maybe to university with braces in my mouth. FML

I had braces for years... many people do.... jeez, get over it princess.

Having braces doesnt suck.. its normal. But what is GOING to suck is actually wearing them. It HURTS like hell .. your lips get BROKEN inside the mouth. The pain lasts for a week. And then every time u meet orthodontist (every month) its going to hurt AGAIN .. for some days. .. I have braces :D

#65, It's not necessarily about having bad teeth. I had mine for 8 years and my sister had her braces for 10 (she didn't follow rules when she had rubber bands put in). Most orthodontists usually take out four teeth so the rest of the teeth, when braces are put on, can shift out and straighten. This makes it easier and faster. The orthodontist I went to doesn't pull *any* teeth, so the process takes longer. I really wish there was a "who the hell cares?" button.

Hey, I'm seventeen and I wear braces. I wore them while I was a bridesmaid at my sister's AND my brother's weddings. I'll be wearing them for my high school ball and my graduation. It's not that big a deal.
