Today, I went to pick up my sister's wedding cake. It was a nice day, the shop was close, and the cake wasn't too big so I walked. On my way back, I stepped aside for a kid on a bike, tripped over my shoelaces, and dumped my sister's expensive, custom-designed cake. The wedding is tomorrow. FML

Why would you walk to pick up a cake like that? How stupid are you?

wow you're dead! but in your defense the cake should have been delivered

Yeah, this is kind of a YDI and a FYL. Obviously if it's close, then walking would be a good idea for something less important, but just too many things can happen to a big expensive wedding cake. But it does suck for you. Also your sister and her fiance.

i still wouldve grabbed fistfuls of cake and shove em in my mouth. Why not?? Im ****** anyway. I might as well be eating cake

Why did you even take the chance of walking with a wedding cake for a larger distance than from a door to a car? It doesn't make sense.

"over, under, around, and through". It's not hard. YDI for that, but FYL for your sister making you pick it up when it could probably have been delivered.

WTF were you doing with your shoelaces untied??

You could try tying your shoes when you're carrying something expensive and fragile that belongs to someone else.

Why would you walk with something that important?!

You know, my friend and I were just talking about how ridiculous it is that something always happens to the cake in chick flicks, when the caterers always deliver the cake. I've never been to a wedding that had a cake small enough that one person could carry it more than a few feet...and I certainly can't imagine carrying it from one house to another where bugs would be flying into the frosting, etc. So either the cake was small enough to fit in a box, so it shouldn't be hard to replace...or I'm calling this one a little sketch.
