Today, I went to school without any makeup on. The guys who usually compliment me for being pretty are now calling me "The Greatest Illusion Ever". FML

I hardly ever wear make-up, unless I'm going on a night out or something. I don't see why people feel the need to put it on everyday, if you don't wear it everyday then people won't consider it a 'shock' when you aren't.

I never liked make-up. Smells funny, takes forever to clean off of my face, looks bad anyway because of my extremely dry skin. I go without (other than lip balm to keep my lips from drying out) simply because it's a waste of time and money for my complexion. Ya want pretty skin? Drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, eat a nutritional, balanced diet, get plenty of exercise, don't touch your face with your hands, and clean your face at least twice a day with soap and warm water. I guarantee you'll see results.

There is no need to wash your face that often, and you should really use a moisturizer afterwards. I wash mine once every night to remove daily build up and makeup from the day before, and that's it. My skin dries out some in the winter, so I use a heavier moisturizer than I do in the summer, when my skin can get more oily. It's all about letting your body be in control. Your body will naturally settle on the right amount of oil to produce in your skin if you stop messing with it so much.

ydi for wearing too much make up. hate girls that don't look like themselves with make up. some make up is nice, but you shouldnt apply it with a shovel.

He's an asshole. I commend you for going out with out makeup. So many girls can't do that. And I must say I look different with out makeup too. I have blonde eyelashes and eyebrows so with out makeup I'm a super plan jane. Tell the dude to eff off and quit wasting your time being harassed.

Maybe OP doesn't wear make up for other people, maybe she wears it for herself. And she can go without make up if she wants. And she can wear pounds of it if she wants. Who cares what everyone else thinks, OP? As long as your happy when you look in the mirror, rock whatever look you feel suits you.

that was incredibly rude of them to say, OP. I used to wear a lot of makeup - I was 13 or so, and wore foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, etc. Now, you're lucky to catch me with a dab of makeup. I just don't have time nor patience. I'll wear it for something fancy, but my face is otherwise bare. and when I first started going out sans makeup, I got asked if I was sick a few times. Wear as much or as little makeup as you want, OP. I'm sure you're pretty both ways! :)

Wear makeup if you want to, and don't wear makeup if you don't want to. There's no need to insult people who do, and there's no need to insult people who don't. OP, those guys were probably just douchebags. Don't listen to them. I doubt it was THAT much of a difference.
