learn the sign language alphabet, you can spell ANYTHING, it'll be so much easier for you.
Sure but it would take you forever. If you are dating a deaf/hoh girl, learn asl so that you can communicate with her!
How about calling them deaf? many deaf people don't like to be called hearing impaired. They're not broken. Just a tip for you.
No they would be considered hard of hearing, not hearing impaired. Hearing impaired is extremely insulting to a deaf/hoh person
just how hearing impaired is your girlfriend? idk how it is where you're from but even partially deaf people are taught sign language here, maybe if she signs it'd be a good idea to know how to as well? Or communicate through an IM or paper/whiteboard?
She might be Hard Of Hearing asshole.
As someone in the medical field and having a child with respiratory issues, there no excuse for not going to the doctor after being "sick for weeks"--especially when it's breathing related. The doctor can give you treatments and medication not available over the counter. So in the future, go to the doctor sooner, and for now, get some paper and a pencil. Get better soon!
I like how #48 decided to be judgmental in the first half of his comment and then probably noticed how awful it sounded and wrapped it around to a positive note. Be consistent!
Sorry to hear that OP... maybe write everything you want to say on your phone and show her?
On the one after this, comments are disabled. I didn't even know that was possible
You guys should learn American Sign Language in case it happens again. That way you can still communicate with each other
hows your gf Helen communicating then
Your doctor is an idiot or didn't explain right. Bronchitis can't "progress" to pneumonia. Viruses don't "progress" to bacteria. If you had both, you first had one, then the other.
The doctor may have just simplified his explanation of the two. People with acute bronchitis are at risk for getting pneumonia.

Maybe try using a whiteboard until you get your voice back, feel better.
That stinks OP! Hopefully it will get better!
