Today, I went to the doctor to try and get answers about the numbness and tingling in my right leg. The Dr told me I was too fat for my pants, and I pinched a nerve. FML

i've actually read about something like that, and it doesnt necessarily mean you're fat/too big for your pants. anything tight on your leg, like leggings or skinny jeans or just tight/fitted jeans in general can pinch your nerve, causing the numbness and tingling you described. its rare, but becoming more and more common. hope that makes you feel better :)

That is ridiculous! He/she could be wearing the wrong size pants. From what the FML said, there is no way to determine if he/she is fat and/or ugly. I bet you are no model yourself.

i dont care if it sounds mean, im tired of seein fat people wearin shit way too small and tryin too show off their "goods" to the rest of us. i was fat too at one time. i got off my ass, played football, basketball, ran and lifted and got back in shape. ydi for being the typical american fatty.

Why are you people so nasty? Do you really feel better about yourselves for calling someone fat and ugly? Tell me, assholes, did your mother have any children that lived?

did you wear the same pants for several day in a row without taking them off? that's the only way I can see this actually happening.

YDI for wearing those ugly skinny jeans.

What is wrong with you people?! Did a Bully in middle school pick on you so much that the only way to make yourself feel better is to pick on someone else over the web? This person is obviously going through a hard enough time without this b.s.. even if they do need to loose weight. As someone going through the samething right now, I can totally speak to the pain they must be going through. Do any of you SOBs know what if feels like to have excruciating pain every waking minate of your day? To not be able to have a full night's sleep because to move in your sleep is so painful it wakes you up every 45 minates? To all of you bastards with your judgemental comments, do some reasearch before you start popping off. It's an actual medical condition that can effect anyone regardless of weight. How many of you, feeling all mighty as you type harsh words over the internet, really need to loose weight? Or maybe you don't, bet everybody has SOMETHING about them that is imperfect. It's called being human! Now start the 50 posts bashing me for sticking up for this person and how I must be fat too, right? blah blah blah..... Just remember that people who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones... To the original poster, ignore these A**holes! Do what you can, drop the weight and hang in there. I'm told it will get better with time!! :)

#56 I really love you right now. Haha. I totally see what you mean about idiots being harsh through the internet. I mean, honestly now, does it really make you feel better? And, stealing the words from manda_panda, you can go ahead and also say it's because I'm fat. But I'll tell you, I'm 5"4, and weigh 112 punds. Not exactly fat for a fourteen year old is it? So, get off you goddamn high horse's, and feel at leats an ounce of compassion or empathy for some-one other than yourselves.

As a medical resident, I see stuff like this all the time. Just because the OP says he was 'too fat for his pants' doesn't mean his pants are enormous to start with! They could be an average size and he's just gained a little weight. #56 I applaud you. That was very well written and thought out! I also agree 100%. Every single one of us on this planet are too fat for *something* or other. Obesity is actually 4 times more common in America and Canada than being within a 'target weight.' And for those who think that being obese is a self-made condition coming from gluttonous eating and not getting off the sofa, there are actually dozens of real physical and psychological causes that manifest themselves as weight gain. Pituitary tumors, thyroid imbalance (very, very common), Cushing's Syndrome, lack of proper ghrelin levels, Prader-Willi Syndrome....the list can go on. Most people are NOT fat because they just choose to eat too much. There is almost always an underlying physical or emotional cause for it that cannot be overridden by the individual. And OP if you're reading this, and you really are overweight, hang in there. The people who mind don't matter, and the people who matter don't mind. If you want to lose weight, please look into a book called "The Gabriel Method." I've given this to many patients at all varying levels of 'overweight' and they have had tremendous success with it. Good luck. HUGS!

Says the fat girl that got offended by everyone saying fat people should lose weight. It's ok,just eat some ice cream and sit on the couch and you will feel better soon tubby!

hahahahahhaahhahahahahahahhahaAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! :'D that was funny.

If its something like meralgia parasthetica best to sort it out by changing clothes if your not overweight or losing weight if you are. I got that from another condition and because we took so long treating it the pinched nerve required surgery and is still numb.

I hate it when fat people try to squeeze into pants that are too tight. No one wants to see that. YDI
