This is why I use eBay and Craigslist.
Why? He's probably making a joke about having to turn tricks to make ends meet.
I feel your pain.
I got my books free through financial aid, then sold them back for $203.50
Getting ripped off by the bookstores is something I'm sure almost every college student experiences, but I still voted YDI. The used bookstore you went to probably can't believe what a sucker you are and now it gets to make a huge profit at your expense. I recommend using websites like buybacktextbooks.com if you want to see books online. All you have to do is enter the ISBN and the site will get quotes from a variety of major book sellers (such as Amazon). I normally just buy and sell on Amazon but sometimes you can get a lot more money somewhere else.
Yeah. I have literally thousands of dollars worth of textbook I will never open again, yet I have found it isn't work the effort to drag them back to the bookstore because most of them they won't buy back and those they do are such shit return.
For that price I would have just kept them or try selling them online

You should have asked to clarify whether she said "$350" or "3.50".
This is why you always buy textbooks secondhand... I learned that the hard way.
