It's interesting that a lot of commenters have assigned a sex to OP, then naturally to the "attractive exchange student" when it's a neutral FML with no astrological gender symbol . . . OP, if you don't care what you look like I say, "More power to ya!" But at least I hope you still care about how you smell. Lose the obsession of overanalyzing how you'll look in front of others - cool. Just be sure to keep the common courtesy of proper hygiene. A lot of people leave that by the wayside. Keep a laid back attitude and absence of B.O. and you should do fine. Good luck! :)

Why does everyone think the OP is female? Am I the only one who imagined the OP as a male? Maybe it's because I only have female exchange students in my class. Also, why are people saying looks don't matter? Would you want to date someone that never brushed their hair, shaved, or at least tried to look good? I'm sure you wouldn't. Appearance might not be everything, but it is something. People date people they are attracted to because they want to have sex with someone that looks nice, and last time I checked sex was a part of a healthy relationship. Unless both of you are asexual. But I'm sure that even asexual people like looking at pretty things.
