This website's point is to post anecdotes that you think make your life shitty. If we looked at each FML the way you do with this one, for example with an anecdote posted by a man about his girlfriend, we would see in the comments things like " Well not everybody has a girlfriend. You do, so just shut the **** up ! "

That's illegal if he works that many hours in one day. I highly doubt that's the schedule he works.

Ah, so who wants in whose pants? Looks like the tables have turned. There are exceptions to the rule, but for the most part, yes it's illegal to work 19 hours in a day. I would think that because there is a deficit of firefighters, they would need to work longer hours. Also, I'm not sure if it's the same number of hours required between shifts in America, but in Canada you need to be scheduled 11 hours after the end of the last shift and no earlier. It IS illegal to finish a 19 hour shift only to start another 19 hour shift 5 hours later. Nice try, kid. People require sleep and it's against the law to deny them that.
