Today, I woke up in the hallway. I took a sleeping pill the night before to get a good sleep in for work, but it turns out it was too strong. I got dizzy and passed out on my way to my bed, fell in the hall and chipped my two front teeth, and slept there - straight through work the next day. FML

I know it´s expensive, but your teeth can be fixed. Otherwise... well, you lost a days pay, and that really does suk.

You realize that it's common sense to trail test a pill before taking it in a crunch? Well, now you know. YDI.

Oooh, so it was YOUR HOUSE that I left those daterape drugs at. Silly me.

If this pill was strong enough to actually make you dizzy/pass out, it was probably prescription strength, meaning either the doctor explained the risks to you and told you to get in bed very shortly after taking it PLUS you'd almost certainly have taken it on a previous occasions, or you bought it off the street and didn't properly research it. In either situation, YDI. And there is no way a sleeping pill would cause you pass out upon swallowing it. Maybe if you injected it into your vein? I say BS.

Why are some ppl so stupid not to realize that not EVERYBODY reacts the same way to drugs. Some people can be more sensitive than others. So the OP could have been one of the unlucky few that was extremely sensitive to the active medicinal ingredients in the sleeping pill, and yes people can have severe reactions to OTC medication, and had extreme reaction of passing out for a very extended period of time. On the flip side there are others where some medications doesn't do anything at all.

She didn't say the effect was immediate. ****, I hate people who jump to conclusions.

and i hate people who don't read the entirety of a post before they reply to it...i already addressed the alternative, thank you very much.

It's implied in my post, but I guess I'll have to spell it out for you. A prescription strength sleeping pill CAN make you dizzy and pass out, but no pill hits you instantly. A doctor would explain the pill's effects to the OP, and tell her not the take the pill until she was in bed or immediately (read: a couple minutes) before going to bed. I know this because I am prescribed sleeping pills. If the pill wasn't prescribed to her and she bought it off the street, borrowed it from a friend, etc, she still should have researched its effects before consuming it. In either of these cases, she deserved what came to her, but I still think that this post is fake. Satisfied?

and I'm replying to #41, which implied that this particular person responds instantly to sleeping pills. I'm sick of you, witchcraft.

Oh, whoop-de-doo, you're sick of me. I guess I'll go cry myself to sleep now. XD And if you're replying to someone, SAY IT, dumbfuck.

It's not my fault the "reply" function on this site is gimpy. It's also not my fault that you misunderstood my original post because you're so set on the idea that the OP didn't pass out immediately after taking the pill that you see every single reply through those goggles. Then you get offended when I explain what I meant in more detail?? I don't care too much about whether or not you understand the effects of pills, but I do give a **** when you misunderstand what I say and attack me because of it. ...and how do you know exactly how smart I am? I could be ******* Stephen Hawking, for christsakes. You don't know me.

Than don't jump down my throat when your comment doesn't appear as a reply and I mistake it for further judgment, if you don't want the same. Ah, but you weren't trying to explain what you meant, you were attempting to talk down to me, thanks. Erm... *sigh* Once again... You were perfectly clear in your original post. I never had any misunderstandings, catch me? "And there is no way a sleeping pill would cause you pass out upon swallowing it." This is what my first reply was about. Yes, later on you said you were replying to #41, but only after you'd stated that twice - once in your first post, and the second which I assume was supposed to be the reply to #41. But #41 never implied that the OP reacted immediately. #41 said the OP could have reacted severely to the medicine because of sensitivity to the pill. Nothing was suggested that it was an immediate reaction. You misread something. Now, I'm done trying to explain myself over and over again.

Erm... I really don't need you to describe anything for me, thanks. Stop acting like you're smarter than I am, because you're truly not. On top of that, I never made any implication that the effects of pills confused me, dumbshit. I said you were jumping to conclusions. My god, you're a dumbass. Shouldn't you be in bed to prepare for preschool in the morning?

if it was an over the counter sleeping pill it probably was a slow release so this does sound strange but who knows. and to kisseshugs or whatever your callsign is, seizuring is not a word.

Aren't you supposed to take them ON your bed?

Dude. What kind of sleeping pills do YOU take? And can I have one?
