At least taking the stairs is healthier.
Did u actually get stuck or did you not know to push the button??
When I lived in the projects, the elevators got stuck quite often. I'm sure you live in a decent building so that will very rarely happen. Dont think too much about it. Hope you get over your fear OP.
Murphy's law!
I feel for you, OP. I have a fear of elevators - I was trapped for an hour in the rather claustrophobic one in my grandparents' apartment building when I was ten years old (grandmother sent me down for the mail). I avoided the **** out of elevators for years. Except now I'm disabled and use crutches to walk, which makes stairs the enemy. I still hate elevators - especially old creepy ones. I hated being in the hospital a few months ago - they stuck me on the 17th floor, and goddamn does it take forever to get down to the first floor in a hospital elevator. Ugh. Stairs are healthier for you anyway.
I know exactly what it's like to be scared of going in an elevator OP, When I was younger I was frightened of many things, including elevators so you should be very proud of yourself of taking up the courage to ride in one. Sorry about being trapped in it though, must of really freaked you out.
